About the event
The Kharon Global Summit is a strategic forum that gathers senior leaders from government, finance, technology, and national security to address the evolving landscape of global risk, sanctions, compliance, and commerce. It's not a recurring annual event, the Global Summit only convenes when the pace of change in global risk outpaces the systems built to manage it.
To date, Kharon has organized three Global Summits: New York (2019), London (2023), and Washington, D.C. (2025).

The project brief
Design and production that set a new benchmark for a global sanctions and compliance summit.
What used to be a closed-door conversation among experts became a first-class summit experience, designed for the leaders who need to stay ahead of a fast-moving global risk and compliance landscape.

The global Summit during set-up
My role
I set the art direction and led design across every touchpoint.
As the sole in-house designer on the marketing team, I owned the visual strategy from the ground up. Given the scale of the event, we brought in additional design support so that I could stay focused on setting the overall direction and leading the assets that mattered most: the marketing campaigns, website, and digital experiences both leading up to and on the day of the event.
Production-side design was handled in close collaboration with the production company's designer, with me ensuring cohesion across every touchpoint.
What we delivered
The result was a sophisticated visual identity blending premium elegance with technological innovation.

The challenge was designing something that felt premium and authoritative, without losing the energy that makes an event world-class.
To strike that balance, the color palette was kept intentionally restrained, with two signature pops of color, Summit Blue and Summit Orange (as subtle variations of Kharon's brand colors). Rather than leaning on graphic complexity, visual interest was built through imagery of Washington, D.C., which grounds the identity in the event's location and the weight it carries. Layered in alongside this was the Summit Globe, a signature graphic rooted in Kharon's platform identity, tying the event brand back to the company's core product.

Key learnings
Clear communication and tight team coordination are what keep a large-scale event project running smoothly and on track.
As an event designer, staying agile and responsive is crucial, as plans can shift quickly throughout the planning process.
